SOUNDBOARD QUALITY
Thank you so much for the upload! I am blown away by how crispy this sounds. Excellent set lists too. I loved seeing shows at the Kaiser. I think I saw seven Grateful Dead shows there, and one Garcia show.

New Orleans
That's not cheese after TMNS, that's The Radiators. They were around so long I'm surprised you hadn't heard of them before. New Orleans Fishhead Music. This show sounded fun,and that's where it matters.

Brilliant playing
This is a really fine show with some tasty playing. I know there are a lot of DHs that can’t get past 1976 (or 1972 for that matter), but I think that when the band was on during the period from 1987 through Brent’s demise they did some of their best work. While he lost his chops a bit, Jerry’s playing gained in maturity. He developed a more sensitive use of touch and modulated the sounds he was able to make in a more sophisticated way. His improvisation became more interesting, more mature and in many ways his readings of his songs became more fully realized in terms of the meaning. Listen to UJB on this recording and hear the tension of his playing and how all the band members react to each other. It’s as if there is more complexity in the simplicity of it. You don’t always have to be playing a note to make a musical statement. This is all breathtaking stuff. Brent’s work in this show is exceptional, also. He comps Jerry’s guitar solos beautifully.

I agree with the Other One->Stella combo -- amazing sound on the The Other One. Also, definitly of note is the Throwing Stones.
From the other one on..great show. Very Very good sound on this one.. first set kind of has a bad order...

Other one>stella
Im giving this show a 5 for 2 reasons
1. To piss off ascheylus
2. The killer Other One>Stella Blue. The Other One is just sick! I love Bobbys effects and it doesnt hurt that the recording is great, the Stella has so much emotion behind it that Ive listened to it now 3 times in a row. Its now a for sure on the top 5 Stella list...This one is a must!

Geez
Don't be so negative. Be grateful you can even listen to it. Great show, solid, excellent recording. There is a little adjustment in IKO but tolerable.

Wakes up in the 2nd
1st Set: A mellow "Iko" opens up tonight's gig. "Rooster" is convincingly bluesy but it drags. "Brown" is finely played but again we need more energy. "Masterpiece" is more country twang-y than usual...fine not spectacular. At least "Bird" musters some might in those wings creating an intricate version. Jerry's hyperspace sci-fi like work during "Music" elevates it beyond average. (What is this cheese playing after 'Music' ends? Sounds like a B-Jackson Browne... '18 Wheeler?')
2nd Set: Yes...Way to make a statement, opening up your set with "Push."(snore) Some nice interplay between Brent's Hammond and Jerry as well as a fun vocal outro enhance this otherwise rhythmically standard "Man Smart." Oy...another in a long line of "Ship"'s in the ballad slot. Fine but skippable. Yes, a "UJB" is a wonderful call. It chugs along decently though Bobby's insincere vocalizing slightly dampens my spirits. What are the words making up that weird chant goin on in the beginning of "Drums"? Mmmmm..it's getting loud in here. (3) Undoubtedly this and the following "Space" have been the most intense part of the evening. Yea, "TOO" is certainly not epitomizing this one. It's forceful and melts itself nicely into "Stella." Wow, this is also a powerhouse..Jerry's wounded but his heart is strong and the boys put together a muscular version. A slightly awkward glide into "Throwing" which again serves as example that the men were saving their tanks until mid-way through the second set. Not the smoothest perf, but it more than gets the job done. Last night means, "NFA." I'm shaking my tush during the outro (starting at 5:30)
They leave for a few minutes, and come back for a few more rmmmm bop bop bop-bop.
A sore but strongly sung "Breakdown" ends the evening. "Good night folks" offers Phil. And Aretha gently assists us out of the Kaiser.
3 1/6 stars, and will Not go above that for because of the subpar 1st set and my tiring of 'Push' and 'Ship.'

GET IT!!!!!!!!!!
I don't mean to be telling you your business, but you really need to get this into your collection. The Other One is brain melting and intense as the boys get!!! Serioulsy turn up the Other One and try to keep your mind intact, I do not believe it is possible. The drop onto Stella is wonderful! There is tremendous emotion and the definite sense that they are having a incredible fun. Thanks for reading!

I attended this show...
...and really enjoyed it. The playing is terrific, although it was not my favorite setlist of all time. However, the playing on it still holds up -- it's very well played. And the sound quality here is 5 stars for sure. So it gets 4 stars only because of the setlist. Otherwise a terrific show.
